Sapim CX-Sprint Straight-Pull spokes are built for wheelsets that need more strength than CX-Ray without giving up aerodynamic performance. Using a 2.0 - (2.25 x 1.25) - 2.0mm profile, CX-Sprint adds material through the center section to increase stiffness and durability for higher load applications.
With a bladed section measuring 2.25 x 1.25mm and a tensile strength of 1430 N/mm², CX-Sprint Straight-Pull is a strong choice for powerful riders, low spoke count race wheels, and durable high-performance road, gravel, and mountain builds using modern straight-pull hub systems. The straight-pull configuration eliminates the traditional J-Bend and is specific to hubs designed for straight-pull spokes.
Features
- Bladed stainless steel spoke for aerodynamic, high-strength wheel builds
- Heavier-duty alternative to CX-Ray for increased stiffness and durability
- Cold-forged construction for improved fatigue resistance
- Straight-Pull design for compatibility with straight-pull hub systems
- Compatible with standard 14G / 2.0mm spoke interfaces
- Suitable for road, gravel, and mountain wheelsets
Best For
Ideal for wheel builds where strength, stiffness, and durability matter more than minimizing weight. CX-Sprint Straight-Pull is especially well suited for powerful riders, low spoke count wheels, disc brake applications, and gravel or MTB builds that benefit from a stronger bladed spoke.
Compared to Sapim CX-Ray Straight-Pull spokes, CX-Sprint sacrifices a small amount of weight for significantly increased stiffness and durability. Compared to Sapim Race Straight-Pull spokes, it adds aerodynamic performance while maintaining high strength.
Compared to J-Bend spokes, straight-pull spokes are hub-specific and should be selected only for wheels built around straight-pull hub designs.
Wheelbuilding Notes
The bladed section should be held during tensioning to prevent spoke wind-up. Using a Sapim Bladed Spoke Holder improves accuracy during build and final tensioning.
