Can we do a tailored build that is lighter, and more exotic than the stock version? The answer is yes. Come look!
The Scott Addict RC has been a popular custom build here as of late, and they have proven to be a pleasure for lightweight projects. The other day we did a build with the objective of coming in lighter than the complete stock bike from Scott. Have a look at the finished photos below, then head over to our YouTube channel for an in-depth breakdown of the parts used and the build.

“Sun Beam Black”
We stayed with the Syncros one-piece bar and seatpost on this build.

The one-piece looks seamless with the top cap cover and spacers.
Dura-Ace Di2. Hollow carbon bar ends. Foam tape.

The MCFK Open Carbon Saddle .

THM Clavicula SE crankset.
Extralite Octaramp Chainrings and SLR 3 Cassette .
We stayed with a really nice wheelset. Extralite SPD-3 hubs , laced to Schmolke rims with carbon spokes.
Panaracer Agilist tires, and KCNC Kasditor rotors with Ashima alloy rotor bolts.

At the end of the day this bike was a touch over 11 pounds, and much more interesting parts-wise than the complete stock bike. Believe it or not, it was also about $25 less than the stock version as well.
