Come look at the worlds lightest ProXL bmx bike.....a custom Crumpton that Jason dreamed up.
Beleive it or not, before Jason was king of all things weight weenie, he raced bmx competatively in the 80's. After 30 plus years in the industry he has made quite a few connections...so much so that when he had the idea for this insane weight weenie bmx bike, he was able to have nick crumpton custom make a bmx frame, which he normally doesnt do, and he was even able to call in a few favors from places like Bombshell for a custom combo-bar, and Tune for a set of hubs. I dont wanna ruin it for you, but I'm gonna tell you now, this is, no kidding, the lightest ProXL bmx bike in existance...there, I said it!
I'm not normally a bmx guy, but after seeing this bike in person and picking it up with one hand, I am. Check out the build gallery, then hop over to our youtube page for a build video with Jason where he goes over all the parts in depth as he builds it up.

Frame was custom made by Nick Crumpton himself.
Parts of Passion seatpost and collar.

Gelu K3 saddle.

A look at the beautiful Bombshell combo-bar.
It's flawless in every way.
Extralite Hyper Lever to grab onto.

Extralite Hyper Grips

Hollow bar end plugs by Extralite. Can you sense a pattern here?

Cant forget the fork.
One off Tune hubs, because why wouldn't we?

Velocity rims.
In the world of bmx tires these are tried and true....and being fast and light made the choice a no brainer.

KCNC V7 brake caliper.

Aican Bungarus housing because it's as light as you can get. We also used a ti brake cable.

Of course we used Grigio Carbonio cranks.

Carbon-Ti narrow-wide chanring.

YBN Ti chain for the win.
Shes a beauty.

Finished, it came out to be 10lbs exactley. Before jason rebuilt this it was already the lightest in in the world, at 11.25lbs. He just bested his own world record and gave us something even lighter to let our jaws drop over. And lets face it, if he was so inclined he could throw some lighter pedals on and go into the 9's, but thats a discussion for a different day.

Until next time, happy riding!
