The THM Tibia Carbon Road Stem is a premium ultralight road stem designed for traditional cockpit setups using standard external or non-stem-integrated cable routing. Handcrafted in Germany, the Tibia delivers the low weight, stiffness, and refined carbon construction THM is known for, without requiring an internal cable routing stem system.
Built with a full carbon fiber body and THM’s advanced molding process, the Tibia provides precise steering feedback while keeping cockpit weight exceptionally low. With a claimed weight as low as 78 g, it remains an excellent choice for weight-conscious road builds, climbing bikes, custom lightweight projects, and frames that use conventional 1 1/8" steerer and 31.8 mm handlebar standards.
For riders who do not need an ICR stem, the standard Tibia remains one of THM’s most elegant lightweight cockpit components. It pairs cleanly with premium carbon handlebars and is especially well suited to high-end road builds where simplicity, low mass, and proven compatibility matter more than fully hidden cable routing.
Best Use
The THM Tibia is best suited for high-end road bikes that do not require cable routing through the stem. It is an excellent option for lightweight climbing builds, rim brake road bikes, externally routed frames, semi-integrated cockpits, and custom builds where a conventional stem offers cleaner fitment and easier service access.
Because it uses standard 1 1/8" steerer and 31.8 mm handlebar dimensions, the Tibia remains compatible with a wide range of premium road handlebars and frames without locking the rider into a proprietary internal routing system.
Standard Tibia Vs. Tibia ICR
This version of the THM Tibia is the standard non-ICR model. It is intended for traditional cockpit setups where cables or hoses do not route through the stem body. Riders using fully integrated cable routing systems should choose the THM Tibia ICR Carbon Road Stem instead.
