The MCFK Vorbau Carbon Stem represents MCFK's approach to exceptionally lightweight, precision-made carbon components. Designed and manufactured in Germany, the Vorbau combines a full carbon stem body with titanium and high-strength aluminum hardware to deliver an extremely low weight without sacrificing cockpit stiffness.
A distinctive 270° handlebar clamp wraps farther around the handlebar than a conventional faceplate design. This increases the contact area between the stem and bar, helping distribute clamping force and riding loads over a larger surface while reducing unwanted movement at the cockpit.
The carbon structure is complemented by Ti6Al4V titanium hardware and a 7075-T6 aluminum faceplate and clamping components, allowing MCFK to keep weight exceptionally low while maintaining strength in critical areas. Depending on length, claimed weights range from approximately 68–92g.

Installation
Carefully follow the specified torque limits when installing the MCFK Vorbau. Maximum torque is 5 Nm for the steerer clamp and 3 Nm for the handlebar faceplate hardware. Use an appropriate carbon assembly compound where specified and always tighten hardware with a calibrated torque wrench.
