KCNC's series of precision-machined 6061 aluminum thru axles present an excellent low-cost replacement option for frame manufacturer's stock thru axles. Compared to KCNC's 7075 Low Profile Thru Axles, these are about twice the weight, but half the price. As such, the 6061 thru axles are an excellent option for replacing lost or damaged thru axles, or as an upgrade to a lever-free design. Installation and removal are accomplished with a 6mm hex wrench, with tool fittings on either end of the thru axle for maximum convenience.
Compatibility
KCNC 6061 Rear thru axles are available to fit 12 x 148 Boost frames, in either RockShox Maxle or E-Thru standards.
