Praxis Road / CX 5-bolt Chainring Set

The Buzz chainring set is a small improvement on the already proven cold-forged chainrings that launched the Praxis name into the bike industry.  Aside from a small aesthetic change, the major improvement for the Buzz ring is its updated design to work with cranks using a hidden fifth bolt. 

The rest of the crank is designed to give you the same performance you expect or hear about from Praxis rings. This is because Praxis still forges their chainrings from 7075 series aluminum for maximum strength and wear life. This forging, combined with Praxis' LevaTime shifting technology, creates the best possible shift performance. LevaTime combines ramps, scallops, stainless steel shift pins, and tooth profiling in carefully engineered patterns to ensure quick shifts, even under load. These design features, combined with stout construction, make Praxis chainrings an excellent aftermarket choice for Shimano's Di2 systems. Additionally, these rings have been designed for 11-speed compatibility which allows for the use of an aftermarket 110 or 130 BCD crankset with modern drivetrains from Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo.

Praxis chainrings are sold in matched sets for either compact 110 BCD or standard 130 BCD cranksets. So far the Buzz chainrings only have one style, they look much like a modern update to the their clover two tone chainrings.

Please Note: The 48/32 chainring combination is only compatible with Praxis 110 BCD cranksets, which have specially-designed chainring mounting tabs. This chainring set includes a set of custom chainring bolts required for installation.

INSTALLATION

Praxis chainring sets mount as easily as any other chainring. The only small difference is the short or long catch pin and placement. Simply align one of the two pin holes with the crank. Then select the long pin if it will fit, or if not use the short pin. After installing the pin you can then grease and mount your chainring bolts. As with, all threads and metal on metal interfaces we highly recommend using a high quality grease.
