The Extralite CyberRear SP-2+ is Extralite's ultralight straight-pull rear road hub, engineered for custom rim brake wheel builds where low weight, precise engagement, and long-term serviceability remain priorities. CNC machined in Italy from high-strength 7075 aluminum with Grade 5 titanium components, the CyberRear SP-2+ combines refined machining with one of the lightest rear hub platforms available.

The updated hub shell features 2.8 mm straight-pull spoke holes for improved spoke compatibility, a 32-tooth dual-pawl drive mechanism for quick engagement, and Extralite's Micro-Tuner bearing preload system for precise adjustment. Ceramic bearing upgrades are also available for riders seeking the lowest possible rolling resistance.

Service & Maintenance

Extralite hubs are engineered for minimum weight and close manufacturing tolerances. Periodic inspection, cleaning, and lubrication help maintain smooth bearing performance, reliable freehub engagement, and maximum component life.

Compatible Freehub Bodies

The CyberRear SP-2+ uses Extralite CyberRear freehub bodies for Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, and Campagnolo cassette standards. Replacement and conversion kits are available for riders changing drivetrains or servicing worn freehub components.

Wheel Building

The CyberRear SP-2+ is designed for lightweight custom road wheelsets using straight-pull spokes. Proper spoke selection, tension balance, and lacing technique are critical for optimum wheel performance. Our wheelbuilding team can recommend compatible rims, spokes, nipples, and complete custom wheel configurations.
