The Extralite Cyber SP-2 Rim Brake Hubset represents the latest refinement of Extralite’s legendary ultralight hub platform—now featuring 2.8 mm straight-pull spoke holes for greater spoke compatibility and long-term durability. Hand-machined in Italy from aerospace-grade 7075 TXX aluminum with Grade 5 titanium internals, this hubset achieves remarkable weight savings without compromising stiffness or reliability.
The CyberFront SP-2 weighs only ~48g, pairing a minimalist shell with Extralite’s Micro-Tuner bearing preload system for friction-free precision. The CyberRear SP-2, at ~134g, adds a dual-pawl 32-tooth freehub for rapid engagement and efficient power transfer. Both hubs are EN-certified and approved for riders up to 200 lbs (90 kg).
Perfect for climbing, TT, and high-end road builds, the SP-2 Rim Brake Hubset delivers one of the lightest complete systems available—crafted with Extralite’s trademark Italian precision.
SERVICE
Due to the lightweight construction of Extralite hubs, it is recommended that service be performed at frequent intervals to ensure proper function and the longest possible wear life of the internal components. Detailed service instructions can be found here. We recommend Extralite's Alugrease or Buzzy's Slick Honey for proper and effective lubrication of the seals and freehub mechanism.
