The Extralite Cyber SP-2+ Rim Brake Hubset is built for high-end lightweight rim brake wheel projects where every gram still matters. This hubset pairs the updated CyberFront SP with the CyberRear SP-2+, combining Italian-machined aluminum hub shells, Grade 5 titanium internals, and Extralite’s minimalist hub architecture.
Because rim brake hub availability continues to narrow across the industry, Fair Wheel Bikes offers this product as a complete front and rear hubset only. Available in 20 / 24 hole drilling with either a Shimano 11-speed or SRAM XDR freehub, the Cyber SP-2+ hubset is intended for custom lightweight road, climbing, and rim brake race wheel builds.
Service & Maintenance
Extralite hubs are extremely light and should be serviced regularly to maintain smooth bearing performance and protect the freehub mechanism. Detailed service instructions are available in Extralite’s CyberRear service manual.
For lubrication, we recommend Extralite Alugrease or Buzzy’s Slick Honey for seals and freehub service.
Wheel Building Notes
The Cyber SP-2 hubset should be built by an experienced wheelbuilder familiar with ultralight hubs, straight-pull spoke layouts, and tension-sensitive road wheels. For custom wheel projects, contact us for rim, spoke, nipple, and lacing recommendations.

CyberRear Freehub Bodies
The CyberRear SP-2+ is available with either a Shimano 11-speed or SRAM XDR freehub body when purchased as a hubset. Replacement and conversion freehub bodies are also available separately for future drivetrain changes or service.
