THM Fibula Carbon Road Brake
| Availability: | Out of stock |
The THM Fibula Carbon Road Brake Set is an ultralight front and rear rim-brake system engineered for premium road and time-trial bikes. Manufactured using THM’s resin transfer molding process, the Fibula combines precise carbon construction, controlled mechanical response, and an exceptionally low claimed weight of approximately 120 g without brake pads.
The Fibula is a special-order brake set. Each order requires confirmation of current THM production availability, lead time, rim width, brake reach, frame and fork compatibility, lever setup, and brake pad requirements.
Special Order Information
THM does not normally maintain ready-to-ship inventory of the Fibula brake set. Contact Fair Wheel Bikes before ordering so we can confirm current production availability, estimated lead time, compatibility, and the appropriate brake pad setup for your wheels.
Adjustable Wide-Rim Compatibility
The Fibula’s adjustable cam changes the caliper position to accommodate rims from 19–30 mm wide without moving the brake cable fixing point. This simplifies changes between narrow training wheels and wider performance wheelsets while preserving consistent cable routing and lever modulation.
Installation & Compatibility
The Fibula is designed for standard road and time-trial frames using conventional single-bolt rim-brake mounting. Brake reach, frame and fork clearance, rim width, tire size, wheel position, cable routing, and brake-lever compatibility must be confirmed before the special order is submitted.
THM recommends professional installation using new inner brake cables, compatible cable housing, correctly centered wheels, and brake pads approved by the wheel or rim manufacturer.
Brake Pads & Maintenance
The Fibula uses Shimano-standard brake pad inserts. Always select a brake pad compound approved for the wheel’s braking surface, especially when using carbon rims.
Replacement options include THM Brake Pad Holders and compatible SwissStop Rim Brake Pads.
Complete installation, adjustment, torque, and maintenance instructions are available in the THM Fibula Brake Manual.
